First Steps!!

I have seen my wonderful classroom and I am in love! Well...after a little paint job. I went last week and did a little painting in the room and I love how it turned out! I can't wait to set up my room in August and meet my third graders!! :)

First, here are the before photos. I was not feeling those cabinets, man. I loved the green bookcase, but I didn't love the chipped paint. Easy fix!!

May Update

Hello there, reader!

It has been a whirlwind end of the semester for me, as well as the end of COLLEGE. That's right, I graduated a couple of weeks ago from my University and just yesterday, my teaching certification was posted online! I couldn't be more excited, as I also have a job lined up for this fall teaching third grade! It will be exciting to take all of the ideas I've been accumulating over the past two years and see them come to fruition in my very own classroom.

Until next time!

Spring Update!

Wow! I can't believe I haven't posted anything since November! So much has happened in the past five months, and life has just been crazy. I finished student teaching in third grade, and I am finishing out the semester with a wonderful group of kindergarteners. I have officially passed all of my certification exams, so now I am just waiting to graduate so that I can get certified and get hired somewhere! I am hoping to stay within the district I attended and am currently student teaching in, but I will remain open to other places.

I have so many teaching books I plan to read over the summer, and a few DIY projects I would like to complete for my classroom. I need to post some pictures of the projects I have completed thus far, because they have surprised even me at how well they turned out!

Thanks for reading!

Take Two...

Hello and welcome!
I will be using this blog to write about my experiences as I navigate the rest of my senior year of college in the Education program. I will be posting ideas for my classroom and ideas I find, as well as things I have created for assignments that I would like to somehow incorporate into my own classroom. I hope you enjoy reading my posts, and it will be nice to finally get back into blogging!
